We still offer pet pregnancy scanning and Microchipping but also offer new fertility services as well. We now have brand new progesterone blood testing machine, results are printed out in 15 minutes. No need to pay vets and wait 24 to 48 hours for results.

Pet Pregnancy Scanning

Fully qualified, we can scan your girl to confirm or rule out pregnancy. We use the latest up to date vet quality Scan pad which will give clear picture of pups. During the scan we will confirm if your girl is in pup and give an estimated number count and due date. We will also check for any infections and to see if everything is going to plan.
Best time to scan is 28 to 35 days after mating, this will give the best image for the number count but can scan anytime during pregnancy.
Scans can be performed in the comfort of your own home or if you prefer you can come to me in Birchgrove Swansea.

Microchipping

All dogs by law need to be microchipped and registered to owners, we can microchip single pets and also microchip and register litters of puppies. Discount is offered on litters of pups so please get in touch for a price.

Progesterone Testing

The Purpose of canine progesterone testing is to ensure timing is correct when attempting to mate the female. Progesterone testing is very sensitive and therefore very accurate. It is for this reason that the method is very popular in determining the optical period for insemination. Some females will require more than one test to predict ovulation. We recommend start testing 7 days after vulvar swelling and bleeding, Retest every 2 to 3 days until ovulation. Ovulation in canine can happen anywhere between day 7 and day 27. Results are delivered in 15 to 20 minutes.
