I am selling my corn snake his name is sammy he is 4 years old. As of late not had as much time for him and would love him to go to nice loving home. He is currently shedding skin every 6-7 weeks and eats one small mouse every 7-9 days he can be fussy sometimes . He is great pet great wee character and ias my three year old holds him too..is 40inch long

Snakes make excellent choices as pet snakes. Corn snakes are closely related to rat snakes (rat snakes also belong to the genus Elaphe) and are also sometimes called red rat snakes (especially the amelanistic color variations). They are native to the southeastern United States, are mostly land-dwelling and are active mainly at night or at dusk and dawn.


Pet corn snakes are generally docile, relatively easy to care for and do not get very large therefore they make a great choice for beginner snake owners.


However, they are also favorites with experienced keepers due to the vast array of beautiful colors and patterns selective breeding has produced.

Names: Corn snake, Elaphe guttata, red rat snake.
Lifespan: Corn snakes can live to be around 15 to 20 years old and sometimes even longer.
Size: Corn snakes reach a mature size of 3 to 5 feet but may occasionally be up to 6 feet long.
