Fully weaned, 7 females and 2 boys. Now separated.
Syrian hamsters are one of the larger hamster breeds. They are easier to tame than other breeds which makes them an ideal pet for young children and adults alike.
They need the larger cages/housing and a larger sized wheel (28") If they have a small wheel they can injure their backs.
They appreciate a sand bath area and can even be toilet trained and recognise their name.
They all have similar markings to their mam, Seren. Bubbles, their dad is mainly brown.
They are generally trouble free pets as long as they have lots of things to chew, space to explore, with enrichment and a good quality hamster pelleted food supplemented with small amounts of fresh foods (sunflower seeds and cucumber being a big hit).
