Description:

Celebrate Mothering Sunday with us on 31st March 2019 so, after spoiling the mums with a lovely lunch, why not treat them to a special evening concert at 7.00 pm in the beautifully restored Royal Victoria Chapel, Netley? It's also the first day of British Summer Time with lighter evenings and life already looks better.
Ravel's musical telling of the fairy tale of Mother Goose is prefaced by Debussy's Petite Suite, music you will surely know even if you don't recognise its title. The concert ends with Mendelssohn's exhilarating Scottish Symphony evoking the wild, romantic landscapes of Scotland.
Wessex Sinfonietta, one of the South's leading chamber orchestras, will be conducted by the charismatic conductor, Mark Biggins. With its exciting kids for a quid scheme, so that anyone aged 18 and under pays only £1 for a ticket, this is definitely a concert not to be missed. Tickets are on sale from the Royal Victoria Chapel front desk or or telephone and at the door on the night.
