Hi I'm currently trying to help raise money to go towards the cost of a vetinary bill, estimated at a staggering £3000.
My chihuahua, Fudge became unwell over the space of two days, after a visit to his usual vetinary clinic based in Framwellgate Moor County Durham we were immediately referred to Moorview veterinary practice based in Shiremoor Tyne and Wear, where Fudge was admitted to have emergency surgery later that day on his spine.
Ct scans revealed Fudge had broken a spinal disc others damaged and injury to surrounding tissues. At 4pm that day I received a call it was the vet who was treating Fudge, he explained his findings and as discussed earlier that day the surgery. As we talked Fudge was already being prepared to go into surgery.
It was a long two and a half hours later my phone rang, it was the vet who was taking care of Fudge, I was told surgery had gone well with the broken spinal disc being completely removed along with some damaged tissue from the same area, still with a lot of fluid on the spine, swelling and bruising this over time would return back to normal. Fudges chance of complete recovery and walking normal are at a 8 out of 10, we have our fingers crossed and can only hope that our little boy makes a full recovery.
Fudge will be starting Physiotherapy in the next couple of days hopefully this will go well so we can get fudge back home where he belongs.
