We are a rapidly expanding start-up company with a mission to bring music, energy and a fun twist on education for babies and toddlers in South West London. We are seeking individuals with a lust for life who love working with children and can socialise well with parents as well. Prior experience not essential, however we do need energetic performers for this role. Those seeking more general teaching work should not apply - this post is best suited to performers.
We are looking to train up a new musician asap with the view to take on classes from January.
Option for a morning/afternoon - £50 + £5 travel for 2x 35 mins classes
Or option for a whole day (10:30am, 11:15am, 3:15pm, 4pm) - £100 + £10 travel for 4x 35 mins
Each venue requires set up time /pack down time of approx 15 mins.
Further scope to take on additional classes once the session leader is established.
Classes are structured for the term to involve woodwind, percussion and sensory play alongside our jazzed up nursery rhymes. Custom tracks provided as well as video instructions each week (ie a small amount of prep required until all repertoire is familiar). All our music is produced to a high level featuring some of London's top session musicians. The ideal candidate would be based in South West London and drive - the equipment comes in a suitcase to be transported between venues and returned to a local lock up after classes. We have musicians working with us who manage on public transport - so long as they are happy to lug the case around!
Unfortunately this role is not suitable for pianists, drummers or singers - class leaders must interact with the little ones using their instrument(s). Our usp, which sets us aside from other similar companies, is that we perform live each week. The ideal candidate for this role would be a multi-instrumentalist.
Musicians required to invoice Minijam ltd under self employed status. Payments made each half term (4 - 6 weeks) in arrears.
Training required; 2-3 x shadowed sessions (unpaid)
