A small quite unusual knitted Kiwi soft toy by Hennah Holdings Ltd., New Zealand. It was made in a place named Otira and I think it was hand knitted (it looks handmade). The colour of the wool is brown with an off white fleck in it. One of the photos shows a light patch on one side, this is just a patch of sunlight. The eyes are black in a white and clear pocket thing, both of which are plastic. The beak, legs and feet are made from yellow pipe cleaners. It has a red ribbon around its neck with the label on it. The filling is a soft textile fibre. The approx. measurements are: the body length is 6.1/2" (16cm), the total height including the legs is 4.1/2" (11cm), the maximum roundness is 3"x3.1/2" (7.5cm x 9cm) and the beak is 2.1/4" (5.5cm) long. It dates back to the mid 2000's, I bought it back from NZ as a souvenir and also to contribute to the conservation of the species. I have never washed it but I would recommend hand washing if required. It has only been kept as decoration and as part of my collection of soft toys which I am now downsizing. It has never been played with or handled much. I would not recommend it for children under a year old or dogs. I would like to find this a new home. It can be collected, it can be posted or I can meet within a reasonable distance. I have other items for sale and would be happy to combine Andrew do a deal. Read more
