We are selling our beloved writing desk, as it is no longer fit for our needs and lifestyle. This was given to us by a friend many years ago, and was used for writing for many years. The top opens up, there are dedicated slots for letters, drawers for stamps and writing implements, etc.

A true antique, suitable for laptop use also - the friend who gave it to us kept their synthesizers and audio interface etc. in here, hence the hole cut out of the back.

Some stains, but a skilled or enthusiastic restorer will be able to get those out (Youtube will quickly furnish you with the knowledge required to get various stains out of hardwood), and the interior shelf is missing from the bottom cabinet (but easily replaced, especially if you have some wood you can colour-match and cut to size).

The key works! It locks and unlocks. We've just never been able to remove it, so we've treated it as a permanent feature. If you open up the mechanism, you might be able to see what's keeping it stuck in the keyhole.

Recommended for somebody who likes a bit of shabby chic, or somebody who loves restoring furniture. If you're skilled enough, you could re-sell this for £200 or even £300 after some TLC, or simply have a beautiful piece of furniture for your own journaling.
