A 2 hour VHS Video film: A Night to Remember. A 1950's Titanic film in black and white which was made into a video in black and white in the 90's. This is one of the early films made of the sinking of the unsinkable Titanic passenger liner on her maiden voyage. It is s very sobering account of the events as they happened. Some good actors when they were very much younger. They include Kenneth More, Honor Blackman, David McCallum, Michael Goodlife and others. The quality is typical of the period when it was made but it is still watchable. Technology has come a long way since then so you have to try to forget that and just watch it. I watched this as a film (2/3 times) on a black and white TV when I was in my teens in the 60's. It (and another version) was often shown around Christmas and the New Year and I always had to stay in and watch them. A mind sobering terrible tragedy that had hard lessons to learn. I have watched this video a few times much preferring it to the modern day equivalent which is more like a romance drama and not about the tragedy. The last time I watched it was 13th January 2024. The general quality is ok for a video, the case is good and clean and it has been re-wound. There are 2 reasons for selling, one is that I am downsizing my video collection and the other us that I thought someone else might like to watch it. Collectable or postable. I have other items that I am selling and would be happy to combine. Read more
