Office-style executive chair. Comfortable, well loved for many years! This was purchased in Harrods by a friend for his office, then given to us when he moved away, and is still going strong two decades later! (including the gas cylinder!) Talk about quality vintage goods.

As far as we can tell, the seat is genuine leather, because it is extremely hard wearing and is still in great functional condition, and despite some minor wear from use it does not flake away, so it is definitely not pleather. Other parts of the chair do appear to be synthetic leather, but it must be a high-end material, because even after 20 years (chair was manufactured some time in the early 2000s) it is still not flaking like many synthetic leathers do. This is a high end piece of office furniture.

If you like to lounge and lean in an office chair, this is perfect. If you are looking for a chair to type all day long, I would recommend getting some posture cushions or looking elsewhere. This is a CEO chair - CEOs lounge around and get other people to do the grunt work.

One bolt small bolt is missing from the underside of the chair - you may want to replace this if you want to loosen up the leaning mechanism for maximum lazy lounging. Otherwise, the chair is good to go.
