This is a brand new classic wooden rosewood ballpoint pen in a wooden box which doubles as a pen stand.
The pen has a length of approximately 5.5in/14cm and writes with a nice smooth action. The wood is a deep, rich, red colour (the photo doesn't do justice to the wood grain) and there is a gold coloured clip, nib and decoration. It is simple, elegant and comfortable to hold. The pen works by rotating the top barrel to reveal the ballpoint. The ink colour is blue.
The pen comes in a wooden 'pen stand' triangular prism shaped box (like the shape of a toblerone box) which measures approximately 6.75in/17.5cm long, 1.25in/3cm high, and 2in/5cm deep. There is a hole on the reverse face into which the pen nib can be inserted so that the pen stands upright. When no longer in use, the pen can be packed away inside the box. The front face of the box has a decorative engraving.
Besides being a useful item, this set would make a very nice desk accessory. The set comes in a black cardboard box but unfortunately this is a bit scruffy.
