Organisation Overview:
The Flicka Foundation Donkey Sanctuary is a registered charity based in South Cornwall, UK. Founded in 1995, our sanctuary site now provides a safe home for life to over 100 donkeys, horses and ponies (primarily donkeys), all of whom have been rescued from situations of abuse, neglect and abandonment.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated, hard-working individual to join our office team, working closely with our Directors and fundraising team. This is a full-time, permanent role paid at the national living wage, requiring a dedicated team player who understands, and can work within, Flicka's aims and ethos.

Required skills and experience:
Proven administration skills.
Experience working in a public facing role.
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
A good understanding of what charity work entails.
A flexible approach to work, with a willingness to work around priorities.
Strong and effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
Self-motivated, with a readiness to learn and show initiative.

Desirable skills and experience:
Experience working within charity fundraising.
Customer service skills, for interacting with sanctuary visitors.
CRM database experience
Full driving licence.
Public speaking experience.

Main Responsibilities:
Monitoring, maintaining and processing orders for our "Adopt a Donkey" scheme
Updating the database with adopter and supporter details
Answering enquiry emails and telephone calls and providing assistance
Processing online shop orders
Engaging with Sanctuary visitors and assisting with enquiries
Maintaining merchandise levels and placing orders when required
Maintaining monthly reconciliations of Standing Orders
Providing lunch time and general cover in our Tea Room
Placing supplier orders for items required for the Tea Room
Managing and monitoring community collection tin stations
Preparing and sending thank you certificates and letters

Other responsibilities:
Assisting the Directors with ad hoc administrative requirements
General up-keep of office, Gift Shop and visitor areas
Assisting with other tasks and general dutues as and when needed.
Help to organise and run events and 'Open Days' at the sanctuary and off site.
Be expected to develop and maintain good communication with all team members.
Show that you can be flexible and adaptable in your work and able to prioritise according to tasks you have been given.
Be expected to work five full days a week - due to the nature of the work, flexibility regarding hours (including weekend work) and days off is sometimes required.

Responsible for:
The day to day running of the charity's Adopt a Donkey scheme and other associated supporter relations activities

Responsible to:

You will have an allowance of 28 days annual leave per year; to be arranged in coordination
with Directors. Bank Holidays are work days. Applicants must be UK or EU residents or have permission to work in the UK.
