Job Description
Role Aims:
To be active as a member of the Qualification & Examination Committee and the management, providing professional advice and technical knowledge to help in the decision making and planning based on available evidence.
To be actively involved in the development of new awards and their implementation including new units design, rules of combination and methods of Qualifications & Examinations.
To approve newly developed units and rules of combination for the qualifications.
To liaise with the Responsible Officer in relation to regulatory and statutory requirements according to business policies and conditions.
To be responsible for the quality and standards of the awards made by Asset Awards.

To work with the Head of Compliance to continuously ensure consistency in standards, expectations and delivery of evidence for presentation to the Governing Body (in case of malpractices and disciplinary action)

To work with the Head of IT to develop examination performance metrics for quality monitoring purposes

oTo ensure criteria for qualification are kept in line with national and international standards.
oTo keep up-to-date with Qualifications & Examinations development techniques and to advise the Governing Body of new developments and potential improvements as well as new recommendations to the way qualifications and examinations is implemented.
oTo ensure that qualification criteria are appropriate to aims

oTo ensure all non-senior level conflict of interest in this department is addressed and forwarded to the Head of Compliance for investigation and mitigation.
oTo ensure that user needs are represented in the award criteria i.e.: bias-free; (including equality and inclusion)
oTo work with other Senior Personnel as required.
oTo be actively present at all Development team meetings and be available for consultation through at least one reliable communication technology (including; email and telephone)
oTo ensure the decisions taken by the Development team regarding qualifications are collective, objective oriented and corporate goal driven.
oTo report any proposals that have a significant material effect on the quality and consistency of the business to the Governing Body.
oTo identify demand for new qualifications those are appropriate to the culture and methods of Asset Awards.
oTo actively work with subject specialists (as the need may arise) to devise the examination criteria for new awards ensuring that they are appropriate to the agreed standards.
oTo prepare proposals for new Awards for review by the Development teamand signing off by the Chair of the Governing Body.
oTo train Examiners andInvigilatorsontheirexpecteddutiesconsistentlywiththeagreedstandard.

Person Specifications Requirements
Significant proven experience in design and development of qualifications and examinations across a range of sector subjects
Have experience of business management
Have an in-depth knowledge of the HE/FE sector and Awarding Bodies in particular
Have a high ethical and moral awareness
Have a good knowledge of e-examination platforms and their functionality
Be educated to graduate level(minimum)

Preferred Skills
Accountability and professionalism as befits senior level position.
Strong and evidenced IT ability.
High-level Interpersonal skills.
Fluent in English, multi-lingual desirable
