In response to the retirement of our present manager, we are currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Manager to be based at our nursery in Bacup, Lancashire. The successful candidate will hold overall responsibility for the provision of a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years.

The nursery is registered for 72 children and is rated "Good" by Ofsted at our recent inspection (March 2017).

The role of the Nursey Manager will be to ensure the efficient operation of the nursery on a daily basis, which includes managing the staff, implementing effective changes in response to current legislation, as well as providing information, on a regular basis, to the proprietors. This means you must be able to manage your own time, demonstrate self-initiative and meet important deadlines.

Applicants must hold a full and relevant early years qualification and have a sound knowledge of the EYFS, Ofsted and Safeguarding procedures. Applicants must have experience of managing a busy nursery and be progressive in supporting future developments.

The normal hours are 37.5 hours per week, worked on a shift basis between the hours of 7.30am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

This is a full-time position and salary will be dependent upon previous experience.
