Elmstead Nursery Assistant

A vacancy has arisen for the post of Nursery Assistant within our Pre-School starting January 2019. The successful applicant will satisfy the following criteria:

Hold a minimum level 3 qualification in childcare

Be experienced in working with children

Have a good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage

Be skilled in observation and assessment of children in the role of Key Person

Be able to communicate with children, staff, parents and outside agencies in a calm, sensitive and appropriate manner

Work well as part of a team

The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.

This is a part time post during term time only:

Monday 8.30 - 3.30 (minus 1/2 hour lunch break)
Tuesday 12.30 - 3.30
Wednesday 12 - 3.30
Thursday 12.30 - 3.30

Total hours per week - 16 initially, with the possibility of more hours after Easter.
