Humankind's Independent Living Unit offers a range of housing-related support services, advice and guidance to help people obtain accommodation and progress towards a sustained independent lifestyle in the community. We work with a wide variety of clients, often with histories including substance misuse, offending, mental ill health, and homelessness, to overcome barriers and achieve social inclusion.
An opportunity has arisen to join our successful County Durham 'floating' support service as a Project Worker. The service provides housing related support to individuals aged 16 to 25 years. You will support clients to set up and maintain their home, maximise their income and pay rent, reduce debts, manage the safety and security of their accommodation, and maintain their health and wellbeing. Support is provided through home visits and drop-in sessions at community venues and Humankind's centrally located office.
Your motivation to enable individuals to improve their quality of life is vital to this role.
