DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job Summary
As our Kitchen Assistant, you will strive to provide the highest standard of preparation of meals for our customers as required. Other duties will include the monitoring and maintenance of stock levels ensuring that the highest standard of cleanliness and food hygiene is followed at all times.

Job Responsibilities
* Preparation, cooking and serving of food
* Ensuring that food is presented well to a high standard
* Following food hygiene legislation, you will ensure that food is stored and maintained safely
* Strive to reduce wastage levels and dispose of food in the appropriate manner
* Conduct fridge temperature checks and record results as necessary
* Maintain the highest cleaning standards within your kitchen environment
* Have responsibility of stock rotation ensuring sufficient stock levels are maintained
* Ensure that any cleaning chemicals are correctly and safely stored
* Comply with Swissport Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) Maintain the highest standards of safety at all times
* Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Qualifications and Competencies
* In possession of at least three GCSE's / O Level or Leaving Cert (and equivalent)
* Flexible to work on various shifts (days, evening, nights, weekends, and holidays)
* Ability to speak and understand the English language
* Ability to travel to the airport at times where public transport is not available
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Ability to follow processes and procedures and apply flexible approach when required
* Passionate about customer service
* Commitment to continuous improvement with the ability to be self-motivated and work independently
* Previous experience working in a hospitality and/or airport environment is desired
