We have an exciting opportunity for an Office Manager role within our family business.
We are looking for a candidate with supervisor and administration experience.
The candidate needs to have great initiative, to be resilient, well organised, open to new ideas and well driven. You will need to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment where plans change at short notice.
We are also looking for a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, a god degree of computer skills and familiarity with most standard office-based software.
You must be able to drive due to the need for visiting customers, checking contracts and checks on staff performance.

Duties:
We are seeking an experienced Office Manager to join our successful and reputable company which has expanded over the years.
Responsible for effective running of offices including Health & Safety, ICT, Legal, HR, Facilities Management
Advising the SMT on changes regarding legislation requirements
Effective and efficient use of operational budgets
Administration of Company contracts, including compliant procurement process
Corporate documents
Creation, revision and up-dating of company policies and procedures
Health & Safety management- overseeing & implementing policies and procedures, meeting of legislation and CHAS accreditation
ICT - maintaining effective and secure systems, overseeing implementation of policies and procedures, meeting legislation
Data protection, including meeting GDPR
HR including recruitment, keeping of appropriate personnel records, meeting legislation, supporting line managers with their supervision roles
Undertake other duties, commensurate with the grade, in relation to a post of this nature.
Managing the office on a daily basis.
Taking and making bookings.
Carrying out day to day administrative duties such as filing, photo copying and answering the telephone.
Helping with the social media.
Helping with advertising of the company and gaining new contracts and customers.
Dealing with customer feedback and any issues that arise.
The role also includes carrying out appraisals with staff members and managing and monitoring the team as a whole.
Ensure the smooth running of the office on a day to day basis and manage a team of administrative staff
Responsibilities include:

Organising meetings and managing databases
Booking transport and accommodation
Ordering stationery
Dealing with correspondence, complaints and queries
Preparing letters, presentations and reports
Supervising and monitoring the work of administrative staff
Managing office budgets
Liaising with staff, suppliers and clients
implementing and maintaining procedures/office administrative systems
delegating tasks to employees
organising induction programmes for new employees
ensuring that health and safety policies are up to date
using a range of software packages
attending meetings with senior management
assisting the organisation's HR function by keeping personnel records up to date, arranging interviews and so on.
Qualifications and training required:
Experience in an administrative role
Knowledge of software packages
Good interpersonal and time management skills

Key Skills for this role:

At least 2 years previous office-based, secretarial or customer-facing work experience is essential.

Hours are 37.5 per week, 3 month probation period and salary review after 6 months of employment.

Salary: £21,000 to £24,000 per year
