This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who is looking for a rewarding, challenging and interesting role with a great family who live in Little Downham, near Ely.
We are looking for an experienced children's care worker to support a happy, affectionate 14 year old boy with bags of energy. Experience with epilepsy would be an advantage. Training will be provided.
You would be supporting this young man with personal care, feeding, play and social activities in a loving and happy family home. In addition you will support a home education programme which will focus on his personal development and communication skills.
You will need to be a very energetic, positive and upbeat person and willing to learn, with the family. You will also need to be a driver with a clean license.
The successful applicant will be hardworking, reliable, committed, honest and trustworthy with a cheerful sense of humour and able to offer a commitment of at least a year.
This position offers a contract for 30 hours per week, with opportunity for overtime. Shift patterns will alternate each week as follows:
Week 1: 8am - 2.30pm
Week 2: 2pm - 7pm
Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and references.
