Warehouse Operative
Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00 excluding 30 minutes' lunch break
Salary £24,000.00 per annum
My clients is looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Warehouse Operative to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a Warehouse environment and work well under pressure. Must be self-motivated and punctual with the ability to plan and prioritise your work.
Main Responsibilities
Ensuring parcels are loaded and unloaded to meet end of sort deadlines
Scan inbound and outbound consignments
Identifying and reporting packaging that is not in line with our company standards
Ensure compliance with all company procedures particularly in relation to Security, Health and Safety and Quality for all areas under your direct control
Keep the warehouse premises clean and tidy e.g. floor cleaning, sweeping racking and stored freight
Ad hoc duties may include occasional driving
Input of data on warehouse management system/preparation of manifests
Answering telephones/redirecting calls/taking messages
General warehousing duties including scanning, picking, packing, reworking and palletising goods
Ensure appropriate stock of necessary packaging materials, pallets, stillage's/cages
At all times actively support company values, business aims, objectives, policies and procedures
Team player - proactively adapts to change in line with customer and operational requirements
Undertake any other duties as may be required by Senior Management


Skill requirements:
Excellent verbal communication;
Ability to multi-task
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers;
Diligent attention to detail and attention to safety
Good computer skills
Clean driving licence
