We are setting up a Community Shared Smallholding at Llangain, Carmarthen. There are memberships available now and no monthly fees are payable until February (it is free until February).

Our members have to make a minimum commitment of time (which will vary depending on how many members there are). If you want to spend more time here that is up to you.

Six acres to start with are available to be shared to grow vegetables, raise animals, perhaps have a bee hive and to enjoy. Members get a veg box and a pig a year for the freezer (not all in one go unless you want it!).

This is an opportunity for anyone who has dreamed of owning a smallholding but cannot give everything up to do it. You can have your cake and eat it too. As long as you live near enough you can come and be a smallholder any time you like.

Memberships are for a family so if one person is a member in a family then the whole family can come and help. We do have other charitable activities going on so if you'd like to volunteer to help with any of them you would be welcome too.
