A beautiful villa in Dalyan Turkey available for holidays and special interest vacations
Villa Meliha was built in 2007.
The site was originally an orchard so we planted a variety of fruit trees around the garden to reflect this. We have a 10 metre pool with a round childrens' paddling pool, a BBQ/open kitchen and kosk (shaded seated area with cushions) and pool loungers for 8. The surrounding area is orchards and farmland where pomegranates, lemons, oranges and cotton are grown. The villa is in Arakbasi just off the beach road near the village of Dalyan, Mugla SW Turkey.
The balcony overlooking the pool has 235+ degree breath-taking views of mountains and orchards. The upstairs open plan living room has windows on all sides with balconies so you have the warming early morning sun on the kitchen balcony for al fresco breakfasting and then the large poolside balcony is perfect for a sundowner/dining.
The downstairs has 4 bedrooms that all have en-suites and patio doors opening onto the poolside terrace or the garden.
Villa Meliha is fully equipped with all the comforts that you will need to feel at home. We have been holidaying there ourselves for nearly 12 years now and love to share the space with friends and like minded souls. When we are not there we rent out remaining weeks to holiday makers from UK, Turkey and all from all over the world.
Dalyan village is a treasure that it is situated on the meandering Dalyan river between the sea at Ituzu (turtle) beach and the lake at Koycegiz. On the opposite side of the river you have the famous Lycian rock tombs (which you can see from the villa) and the ancient ruined city of Kaunos. The beach is reached by river boat taxi which meanders through the reeds past the the tombs and ancient city into the Dalyan delta system (where you can spot an abundance of wild life including turtles and kingfishers) towards the Iztuzu sand spit - a famous and well preserved nesting spot and rescue centre for the loggerhead turtles.
Dalyan is easily accessible from Dalaman airport (30 mins away) and there are direct flights from Birmingham and Bristol. It can also be visited via the ports of Gocek, Fethye and Marmaris. Alternatively if you have the time it is driveable from Antalya and also Istanbul.
