We have a romantic self catering cottage which is DOG FRIENDLY , just on the border of the Lake District.
We are approx 7 miles from the beautiful town of Cockermouth, which has all the amenities that you could wish, and the nearest lake/s is approx 11 Miles away, Crummock and Buttermere which are both lovely to walk.
Our stairs are VERY steep as the building was built in 1748, so please be aware of this fact when booking.

Own transport is a must, as we are in a hamlet which has 14 houses, so is peaceful and secluded for that relaxing time away.
There are 2 pubs 1 mile away in a village called Gilcrux, both serving home made food and great real ales.
We are on Facebook, and have won Trip Advisor "Cert of Excellence" 2017 & 2018.
To clarify our prices: £60 per week day night, and £70 Friday and Saturday nights. Discount is given for 7 nights Plus bookings. We accept bank trans, PayPal and good old cash!

We accommodate from a minimum 2 night stay and the price includes all linen, towels and a fully contained kitchen.
We ask guest to check in AFTER 1600 on the day of arrival and check out NO LATER that 1000 on departure day, unless agreed privately beforehand.
We operate a NO smoking AND Vaping indoors policy, however there is a fully contained courtyard which can be used for this. It is also suitable for the four legged friends not to escape!
