Sail around the Mediterranean or the world alone or with your family.

We bought this boat after reading 'Children of Cape Horn' where a couple with young children sailed around the world, from the UK to Australia and and back.

We have had many sailing adventures as a couple and as a family and used the boat as a base to venture around Europe by car, train and river boat and even flown from Marseille to North Africa and beyond but now it's time to let someone else experience their dream.

Our beloved 1978 Oceanic 30, sail number 66 has to go to a new owner. We have owned it since 1981, as the second owners, and have enjoyed sailing in the Med. She is on the hard in Port St Louis. We are open to serious offers on our asking price of Euros 19,500 from anyone who loves these catamarans.

A fine live aboard boat, based in Port St Louis, South of France, the ideal location for both cruising the Med or meandering the canals of France of Europe.

Only a 12 hour drive from the UK.

This sought after classic by Bill O'Brien, made famous by Rosie Swales in her book "Children of Cape Horn", is a rare find. It's proven seaworthiness makes this a boat that can travel the world with long range stainless steel fuel and water tanks. The Living accommodation has been well designed.

The L shaped salon is conducive to both entertaining (seating for 10) or just relaxing with your feet up. A comfortable, load carrying, spacious catamaran with full standing headroom of 6 foot in all areas. (Unheard of in this size of boat)

A 2.5m long galley with work surfaces and loads of stowage space. Full shower and Baby Blake toilet. The huge cockpit can comfortably seat 8-10 people and a large foredeck provides space for 4 people to lie under the sun. Sleeps 6 with 2 X double berth cabins, 2 X single berth in salon.A hob gas cooker, stainless steel sink, fridge, hot and cold water, pressurised water throughout shower, etc. Cupboards and lockers in all areas.

The shallow draught and reasonable beam combined with a bright, open interior make this boat also suitable for canals in the UK and Europe or a general live aboard in the South of France.

Your cottage on the Med.

The boat has always been taken out of the water and stored on the hard at the end of each sailing season. One of the benefits of purchasing this boat is that it comes with a guaranteed position in the boatyard at Port St Louis near Marseilles.

It is currently Euro 1354 for annual storage which includes power and water.
