A professional freelance proofreader, member of the Chartered Institute of Editorial Professionals (CIEP) and trained by the Publishing Training Centre (PTC) in all areas of proofreading. Comfortable working on Word documents using the 'Track changes' function, marking up PDF documents using the Adobe editing functions or on paper using the BSI symbols. Highly motivated with a keen eye and attention to detail.

I have extensive experience of working within the property market as well as the equestrian world so I am very knowledgeable in these areas and very capable of working within these fields. I also love Historical fiction novels and enjoy reading and working on this sort of project.

My Training with the PTC taught me a lot about working with publishers as well as with authors and I understand the importance of following the brief and house style to ensure consistency. I understand the difference between working on 'page proofs' and 'draft proofs' and how this will affect the changes I make. I am also comfortable checking illustrations, tables, foot notes, running headers and references.

I take great pride in my work and always ensure that I work hard to do a good job for my clients. I feel very strongly that time management and good communication are incredibly important in the case of Freelance work and I always ensure that my workload is managed sensibly and realistically to ensure that deadlines are met, while always keeping my clients up to date with my progress.
