Bereavement Counselling
Do you need help in dealing with grief and bereavement.
If you have experienced the death of a loved one or someone who was important in your life you might be finding it difficult to adjust to the changes happening when they die. Bereavement and grief are a time we spend adjusting to the loss. There is no right or wrong way to feel during these times.

Grief, although normal, can manifest in unexpected ways. Some people get angry, some people withdraw into themselves and some people become completely numb. Sometimes, grief can trigger mental health conditions, like depression, anxiety, anger, stress, these are natural feelings after losing someone in our lives and it is is a deeply personal event that has the potential to affect each of us in different ways. Whilst most of us will share the same emotions and reactions through grief, this isn't always the case, that simply ignoring the pain and hoping it will go away doesn't lessen the grief .

Talking about the loss often allows a person to adjust with all its changes. Denying yourself the mourning could prolong the difficulty and coping. Bereavement counselling helps people adjust and find a place for their loss so they can carry on with life and eventually find acceptance.

Help
The mourning period can be a confusing time involving a lot of powerful emotions. These emotions can grow, fade and shift as we move across the different stages of bereavement. Not everyone experiences the same stages of bereavement at the same time or in the same order, though most people generally go through the following stages at some point:

Accepting that your loss really happened
Experiencing the emotion that comes with grief
Moving on and trying to adjust to life
