I have spent the last 10 years working in the NHS working in a variety of clinical settings such as Trauma & Orthopedics, Neurology & Stroke, Elderly care and most recently in a musculoskeletal outpatient department, treating a wide variety of complex conditions such as post-operative ACL reconstructions and total knee and hip replacements, persistent tendon injuries, including Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis and tennis elbow. In addition, I had input in the running of OASIS, a lower limb class aiming to improve the quality of life in patients suffering with Osteoarthritis and a back class, helping patients with spinal injuries to return to normal function. I have also been involved in research, supporting a GRASP (Getting it right: Addressing shoulder pain) trial. Grasp looks at the best ways to treat shoulder pain in people with a rotator cuff disorder.

Furthermore, I was previously a physiotherapist at Aston Villa FC, working with their academy players. Duties included pitch side provision and day to day management of a variety of academy age groups, working in conjunction with other medical professionals and completing regular musculoskeletal assessments of Academy team players and efficient diagnosis and treatment of all injuries sustained by Academy players utilising the latest evidence-based protocols and treatment techniques. Lastly, I have also worked in a private setting which enabled me to utilise my previous Sport & Exercise Science degree alongside my Physiotherapy skills to help my clients on their return to sports, focusing on their strength and conditioning as well as their performance.
