A conversation by text with a customer June 2014

Oh music to my ears! put the tubes in saturday, Having a cuppa by the unit when "click" Pump turns on warmish water goes to the cylinder. click it stops five minutes later the same thing It's music!!!!!!!!!!

Expensive music but if you think about it but gets actually cheaper with each click.

Good job and you are having fun to by the sounds of it, think it must be the quickest I have had one go into service.

We turned the boiler down yesterday and this morning the cylinder T2 was 45c . that way the only heat source is the solar. This evening it's showing 57 so I guess that's a brilliant result. It hasn't gone over to R1 heat over temp but hell it's only the first day so.....................

happy happy happy very pleased

It's looking good

Good????? It's effin' brilliant. Geraint

If like me you're looking for an affordable way of cutting your house bills. These Vacuum tube solar collectors are at the top end of the industry collectors.

A 44 tube system ( 24 & a 20 tube collector) that is monitored fitted, in Sep 2011 has so far to date Sep 17 produced 7.525 mega watts hr of energy see attached picture

They have a 10 year warranty on the tubes 3 years on all parts except electronic controller which is 1 year. As you have probably found out, there are some with a 14mm condenser bulb and some with 24mm , shorter and longer tubes. Just as about as bad as trying to match fuel bills between companies, Well as I was buying for myself, I wanted to get the best I could. As if you're going to do a change, you might as well make it worth while, and I can help some other people to. The controller picture shows the temp and date that the store tank was at that day

These are collectors dimensions approx

Tubes + Width of collector 12 = 1000mm 15 = 1300mm 18 = 1500mm 20 = 1650mm 24 = 1800mm 30 = 2400mm

The Collectors can be used with variable angle mounting frame not included but can be seen in picture 6, and can be supplied at a very minimal cost for flat roofs or just free standing.

The Tubes 1800mm long approximately x 58mm diameter triple coated vacuum tubes

24mm condenser bulbs, the header has 1/2" and 3/4" threaded pipe outlets

It has a bigger collector area due to tube diameter than some other types, which are shorter and smaller and different size condensers so make sure you don't get mixed up.

A 15 tube collector panel is rated for up to a 150 litre cylinder 18 =175 litre 20 = 200 litre 24 = 240 litre 30 = 300 litre

These collectors have curved fins inside the tubes which hold the condenser bulb and copper tube (Heat pipe) in place, collecting the heat and transferring it to the manifold in the collector head.

Using modern Heat Pipe technology these panels continue to provide hot water even on cold and windy days that simple flat panels cannot. My systems are giving hot water even during the cold but bright December days.

Made of 1.8mm Borosilicate (pyrex type) glass the Heat Pipes are of the highest quality, durable and hail proof up to 25mm. They fit into a well insulated water manifold, The manifold construction is silver brazed copper for excellent heat transfer and maintenance free life. Further details and photographs are available on our website All connections are compression fittings

CE Certification Solar key mark for RHI claim. ISO 9001

All the collector tube models all have 58mm diameter Evacuated Tubes in each unit. If you are considering installing your own Solar Hot Water then these panels offer the very best economic return on the market.
The units come flat packed. I can supply other components, including Storage tanks made of stainless steel , pump, Temperature Controller and Plumbing pipework, tube insulation, air bleeds, Stainless steel flexible pipe.also external UV safe insulation As a package for the DIY installer.
