I am a mathematics tutor with over 30 years of teaching experience, specialising in GCSE Mathematics and Further Mathematics for the past 6 years, as well as Key Stage 2 and 3 Maths. Most of my students have missed significant school time and suffer from maths anxiety, but I have a strong track record of helping them pass their GCSE Maths exams.

I tailor my approach to each student, sometimes using a lighter touch with homework until their confidence grows or as exams approach. I focus on building connections across mathematical concepts, minimising the need for rote learning and excessive memorization.

To tailor support effectively, students begin with a short diagnostic test. Based on this, I provide parents and carers with a support plan that complements school-based education.

Mathematics is arguably the best subject in the school curriculum, yet the education system often makes it the most feared. My goal is to change that perception.
