I am offering lessons in folk fiddle or clawhammer banjo.
The focus of the lessons can be repertoire based, learning folk tunes from a style that you are interested in. On fiddle I can teach Irish, Scottish or Old time American tunes. I can also teach bowing styles and technique.
On banjo I can teach clawhammer style technique. Old time American tunes or accompaniment for folk songs.
I like to teach by ear as is traditional with this music, but I can offer notation if needed.
