Hi,
I am a fully-qualified and experienced teacher of English (M.A. University of Glasgow, PGCE Jordanhill College of Education) who has tutored with huge success in Edinburgh for many years. I have recently relocated to Banchory. My pupils usually come to me feeling very lost in the areas of RUAE, Critical Essays and Scottish Texts. They often fail to get the support and guidance they need in the classroom setting. My aim from the beginning is to restore their lost confidence and build up their core skills gradually in a relaxed atmosphere. Encouragement and an understanding of individual learning styles is key to achieving the best possible outcome for each child. My dyslexic sixteen year old started off this last year in the bottom English set and achieved an A at Nat 5. Everything is possible! I teach from home where I have the comfortable space and atmosphere to provide everything each individual needs, from comprehensive notes to cups of tea and chocolate biscuits. I charge £35 an hour.
