Thy helper Organisation is a non-profit and volunteer organisation formed in 24/08/2015 in Ireland. What we have done over the years is creating awareness in all social media, (online present). Our aims and objectives are to Empower the youths and the general public to be more productive, reliable and dependable to themselves and the community at large.
Thy Helper is a new way of thinking around making the choice to live a healthy lifestyle with an emphasis on healthy alternatives. We have lined up of events and opportunities which will create a safe environment which helps young people develop a sense of purpose, boost self-esteem, build skills for success, and be empowered to make the choice to live a healthy lifestyle. Providing recreational and leisure time activity in the interests of social welfare for people living in the area of no benefit who have need by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances with a view to improving the conditions of life of such persons.


Mission
To encourage the youth to say no to drugs and alcohol abuse, gun and knife killing.

Now we want to commence work here in UK as soon as possible and we are looking for dedicated team to work with us in achieving our goals. And together will transform lives of the youth, especially the vulnerable globally.
Thy Helper's mission is to help the youths here in all our local communities here in England and the rest of the world through its humanitarian believe by creating innovative Empowerment opportunities for effective transformation through the development of personal services and solutions, which will amount to independence, self worth and self belief. This will be done by giving scholarships and apprenticeships to the vulnerable globally especially the youths.
This will be done by organising concert/seminars of motivational speeches, inspirational and motivational music and shows "drama and fashion show" in our local communities here in England and the rest of the world; this program will bring about unity and creativity among the vulnerable youths in our local communities, it will also create an avenue for building personal relationship and integration among the youths in our communities.
As new organisation, we are looking for individuals, professionals and dedicated humanitarian at heart, to join our team to act in the best interests of the organisation, bringing relevant knowledge, skills and experience obtained in professional activities to any discussions. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about the empowerment of youths especially the vulnerable to join the board of directors/trustees.

Responsibilities:
To make sure the organisation is effectively and efficiently administered.
Must have specific skills and knowledge in income generation.(fundraising techniques)
Must actively contribute to the life and work of Thy Helper Board of Trustees and the growth of the organisation in general.
To safeguard the good name and ethos of the organisation, making sure the organisation abide to all laws relating to our aims and objectives
Commit approximately one day a month to the organisation and attend quarterly Trustee Board meetings in Preston Lancashire. (4 times in a year)
To help us deliver our mission of creating a more reliable and sustainable world through global spreading of our resources to the vulnerable especially the youths.
Using your skills, experience and contacts, you will take an active role in the advancement and growth of the charity.
Using your networks and contacts to further the charity through fostering engagement, raising funds and raising awareness
Be sympathetic to the operations of a charity

The following are desirable but not essential:
Skills Requirements
Senior management experience in the public, private or voluntary sector
Event management
IT skills
People management
International development
Project management and evaluation
An understanding of the voluntary sector and previous experience as a charity trustee
Excellent communication skills, and the ability to act as an ambassador for the charity with people from all backgrounds
Articulate and enthusiastic professional
Be willing to engage in profile raising at public events organised by or for the charity

The General Duties of a Trustee include:
A full description of the essential duties of a trustee as outlined by the Charity Commission (can find it online)
Trustee's duties are:
Safeguard the good name of Thy Helper
That Thy Helper complies with its governing documents and other relevant legislation and regulations.
Work in the interests of Thy Helper and not for personal gain.
Act at all times in the interest of the people that Thy Helper serves.
That the Board takes proper professional advice on matters in which it does not have competence.
Define, review and update overall organisational policy and protocols e.g. child protection, staff conditions etc.
That Thy Helper pursues its objectives as outlined in the Constitution.
That Thy Helper meets the reporting criteria of the Charity Commission.
Report any serious incidents regarding the charity in-line with the charity commission guidelines.
Participate actively in the work of the Board whose role is to give clear strategic direction of the charity, approve budgets, identify goals, set targets, and evaluate performance against agreed targets.
That Thy Helper works solely and exclusively in the pursuance of its objects.
Represent and report back to the Board when serving on other bodies.
That effective and efficient administration of Thy Helper, including robust financial management.
Should use any specific skills, knowledge or expertise to assist the Board in achieving sound decisions.
That all staff and volunteers are appropriately appointed, trained, supported and supervised.
Participating in discussions and disseminating accurate information
Providing advice and guidance (based on individual specific expertise and experience) on projects and initiatives.

Expenses:
Trustees shall be reimbursed whenever possible for all reasonable travelling, subsistence and other expenses properly incurred in connection with his/her attendance at meetings or in carrying out any other duties or responsibilities of the role, but otherwise shall not be paid a remuneration.

Term:
Trustees serve a two year term which may be renewed by the board depending on the needs and desires of the organisation and the individual trustee.
