What is the new Scottish Fire Safety legislation?

By 1st FEBRUARY 2022 An interlinked Fire & Smoke Alarm System must be fitted in ALL HOMES IN SCOTLAND.

Requirements include:

One smoke alarm in the living room
One smoke alarm in every hallway/
landing
One heat alarm in the kitchen

All smoke and heat alarms should be mounted on the ceiling and interlinked. Adequate carbon monoxide protection also required but does not need to be linked to the fire alarms.
