Dalton's Equine Therapy is based in Hampshire and specialises in Equine Sports Massage. Emma's background has provided her with invaluable knowledge and understanding of equine antamony, biomechanics and the training and competition requirements of the equine athlete in varied disciplines.
Emma has a strong passion for horses which has been evident from an early age and having competed to national level, at 16 Emma decided to continue her education within equine studies at Hartpury College, earning herself a ND and BHS 3 and went on to graduate in Equine Sports Science (BSc). After graduating Emma set up her leather accessory company daltonsonline.co.uk and qualified as a fully insured Equine Sports Massage Therapist, personally trained by Helen Woolley (MSc, MCSP, Grad Dip Phys, CPSM, SRP, CPTRH, IMAAT) alongside competing (/mostly rehabbing) her much loved horse Dalton P and ex racehorse, Peanut.
Having owned horses with various injuries throughout her time at Hartpury, Emma used the facilities to rehabilitate at the college's Equine Therapy Centre using their equine treadmill and thereafter volunteered throughout the rest of her studies gaining invaluable experience and knowledge within therapy and rehabilitation in horses using their aqua treadmill and ground schooling techniques as well shadowing some of the countries leading therapists.
Throughout Emma's equine career she has trained with a variety of top dressage and event riders as well as working for Mary King, Jeanette Brakewell and Astier Nicolas at some of the countries most prestigious three days events meaning Emma has first hand experience and a true understating of the horse as an athlete.
