Description:

'Jemima' is a classic 2.4 diesel LT35 horsebox.

MOT due: 26 November
Advisories: None at last MOT
Payload: Approx 1100 (but I've not been to weigh bridge)
Mileage: Approx 124,500 (which will increase as still in use)

Based on the information received from her last owner, Jemima started off her career as a local bread van, in and around Oxford and since her conversion to a horsebox has only had 3 lady owners (including myself!) who have all loved and cared for her, so, as you'd expect this means she comes with an extensive history (which even includes the catalogue page describing the conversion!)

I have owned Jemima for a little under 2 years, since purchasing her I have fitted internal and reversing cameras, and LED lights in the horse section. I have also had the air vent in the horse section resealed, to ensure it was water tight - keeping the precious cargo dry and cosy.

I have also carried out a few cosmetic jobs, including: the making and fitting of a cover to go between the cab and the horse section - this helps in the winter to keep you warm; painting the horse section the traditional white and black; upgraded the stereo - so she now has a CD player and general TLC when it comes to washing and cleaning both the inside and body of the lorry!

Jemima does have a complete side ramp for loading, this isn't heavy though. I've never had any trouble doing it (on my own), and I broke my wrist a little over 12 months ago - this also applies to the steering, she doesn't have power steering, but has an amazing turning circle which means manovering her hasnt been a problem for me.

As always, with any older, well loved items, shes not perfect and has a few age relayed bumps and she does have a few small rust spots, but nothing 'nasty' and all of the blemishes I've found have been treated (rubbed down and treated with anti-rust solution), also, she's not the fastest lorry on the market and she does takes a little encouragement to get started...but don't let these put you off as she's never failed me, on the coldest, wettest of Welsh winter days!

She's a perfect starter lorry for someone (especially a teenager wanting to get their independence). I will genuinely be sorry to see her go as I've created lots of memories since having her, but I'm looming to upgrade to a 7.5t lorry - as I'm getting too old to sleep in the back of the lorry when I go off to shows.

I think that I've covered off all points, but if you do have any questions, please do contact me - I'm sure the first to view will buy!
