Description:

Little Forward fun summer project.

Wanting a thoroughbred but don't want the high maintenance of a thoroughbred??

I call him the ugly duckling

Patch is around 14.3hh 7 year old cob gelding looking for a fun home where he can go out and not just happy hack.

Lovely natured boy who has a lot of love to give to someone.

Are you looking for:

Fun?
Forward?
Pops a fence with abit of scope?
Hacks?
Good in traffic?
Good to lead?
Good in the school?
Dressage cob?

He is a lovely little horse and I must stress he is looking for a certain type of home, he will hack alone and in company anywhere!!! He will hack by any sort of traffic going, he's not bothered, he will go in the school and will sometimes come onto the bridle , he would easily go and do a novice dressage test if you wanted to do a few months work with him, he pops a jump and does have some scope when you get after him, he's like a little thoroughbred but in a cobs body!

Patch is a lovely boy and really has a heart of gold, he is with me on livery as he does need some desensitisation, he can be sensitive so he is looking for someone who can ride and doesn't mind putting a little bit of work in.

These are his issues before he come to me and they are getting ironed out literally every single day;

He can be tense to mount but we have been getting on and off both sides everyday and he is warming to the idea that we aren't a Div and going to kick him up the arse then sock him in the mouth, some days he's more sensitive than others but again this is improving and we just sit nice and quietly, give him a pat and tell him he's a good boy and then walk on.

He can sometimes canter off when out hacking when he does find something that does scare him, like a pheasant or a bird, he had only done this twice when out hacking and he doesn't do it because he's naughty he just generally is nervous of something but he will hack anywhere you ask him to!

He's been out alone and in company and he loves being up front and he can pull like a train so if your looking for a nice long rein hack then he isn't for you.

He owes his owners a fair amount of money but because they do not have the time for him to produce and sell he's been doing bits and bobs when they can over the last 8 months.

He isn't for a novice, I would like a video of you riding before any sort of sale goes ahead.

Please don't message me if you get nervous, like to yank a horse in the mouth or cannot get on because we do not want someone undoing the hard work we are putting in.

His owners would allow me to sell him unseen but again we would like to make sure it's a match.

Other than these little issues he really is a wonderful little horse and has so much love to give to someone!

No tack, no loans, no payment plans, no free delivery, he's fairly priced.
