Very sad sale of our dartmoor hill pony phoenix is a 12.2
5 years old gelding he is a lovely looking pony good on the ground to catch, brush, teeth and farrier good to load box or trailer everything is up to date happily lives in our out on his own or with other pony /horses, he is good out hacking in groups and can have pony's cantering past him and is not phased by this phoenix would rather have company out hacking weather this be another pony or a person walking with him as he can be a bit nappy but this may improve with a stronger rider. He did go through a napping stage in the school but we have work on this and he is 95% better, phoenix has developed a lernt cheeky behaviour by bucking when my daughter is asking for canter
this is out hacking to, he is not keen on jumping but again I think in time with a stronger ride he will improve I have taken him to cross country last year in which he did jump some small jumps but he lacks confidence and needs this from his rider phoenix has had little children ride him on lead rein and he was fine and he does enjoy being on lead rein we have done sporsoned ride lead rien and I have done also done ride and lead.
I feel phoenix needs bring on more with a teenage/small adult rider so he is a project for someone to further him to be that lovely pony but at the moment my daughter just wants to have fun on a pony and phoenix just is not at this stage and with his bucking she is not enjoying herself
