Description:

This substantial (i.e. heavy!) futon sofa-bed base has been with us for 12 years and is still looking good. Converts easily from sofa to bed and we found it comfortable as both!
Wooden slats allow the futon to breathe and are replaceable.
We still have the instructions in case you ever need to disassemble it (to get through narrow doorways/halls).
We also have 2 x 6-layer futons if you want them (but we understand if you don't). One has a black&red oriental cover (pictured), the other has a dark blue cover.

The base is 10 inches off the ground before you add the futons. The bed is 83 inches long and approx 55 inches wide (if your space is tight that's how much the futons themselves need to lay flat on the base).
