You are looking at an as new Jackson SLX DX Soloist in Lightning Blue metallic, which was purchased and owned by a collector from new. The guitar has been professionally modded and setup as follows: New Gotoh SG381 gold machine heads, new Ernie Ball Paradigms .009s fitted, New EMG 81 and 85 Gold active pickups, New high quality gold control knobs, New high quality stereo output jack socket in gold, New high quality gold strap buttons, New high quality gold screws fitted, High quality premium capacitor fitted, Bare Knuckle CTS 500K potentiometers fitted, push/pull fitted for switching between 9 - 18v operation. Lovely high quality plush hard shell guitar case. Purchased new, modified and stored in a case until now. This guitar really is awesome. All of the mods transform this guitar into an entirely new beast. EMG 81, 85 is known for its amazing metal tone running on 9v. But 18v operation literally transforms the pickups. This guitar does it all from the typical compressed 81-85 Metallica sound - to 18v, which completely opens up the pickups. This basically transforms the top end by stopping the high end clipping and really tightens up the bottom end. Obviously purchase and fitting of all the gold hardware and pickups wasn't cheap.
