This is a unique opportunity to learn how to make a proper pasty from the professional chef, Tim Treseder. Your master class will begin at 10.30am in the Conservatory Room at Heartlands where you will be taken through the process of making a traditional pasty from start to finish.

Not only that but you will also be learning a bit of the Cornish language along the way. Why do we shout 'Oggy, oggy, oggy', what is the Cornish word for bowl, potato or spoon? So not only will you be creating your own pasty that you will eat fresh from the oven but you will also be hearing the traditional language in which the pasty was born.

Everyone is welcome whether you're fluent in Cornish or have never heard the language spoken before.

While your tasty treats bake we will take a scenic walk through the beautiful gardens of Heartlands. Once the aroma of baking pasties wafts over to us we will return to the Tin or Copper Rooom to gorge ourselves on pasties and to watch a unique presentation about pasties in Mexico, hosted by Vanessa Moyle.
