Here is a 1972 VW campervan project , I stress the word project as this campervan is not currently road worthy.

The engine starts and the Van does move and I have moved it down a short road recently , but the brakes do not seem very good and there is a water leak from the engine , so it is being sold as a non running van .

It does not have the original engine . It's a 1.9Ltr diesel .

I believe this is a 1972 VW bay window panel can that had been modified . The front has been made in to a split screen style and is not original . I think it is a fibre glass moulding . I don't have a lot of knowledge about VW's and I can't be of anymore help.



The general condition of the body work looks good , there is some small rust patches along the rails in the roof and some small bits on edges as you would expect . The only obvious issues is a crack along the front of the roof , this may be a simple fix for someone with the right skill set . It doesn't seem to be cracked all the way through as no water has leaked in.

From what I can see the undercarriage is well sealed and no obvious signs of wear .

Someone has made a good start on this project inside there is a full width rock and roll bed and a sink and cupboard . In good condition , they just need a good clean .
