New: Tyres, Brake-pads, Brake Hoses, Battery,Regulator/Rectifier, Oil Pressure Light Switch, Indicators & Indicator Relay.
Bought this as a non-runner, previous owner assured me it just needed the carbs cleaning because it's been stored.
Having cleaned the carbs, I did a compression test and found it wanting. Complete top end rebuild, lapped valves, new gaskets, freed piston rings. I did have 25 p.s.i. of compression, it now has close to 200 p.s.i. (Manufacturer's figure is 130-200 p.s.i.)
I have receipts for more than £1400.
It now starts every time and runs sweet.
