Description:

Chocolate & White & Red Tri and White Border Collie Puppies. Born October 18th.

Three boys still awaiting their forever family - 2 chocolate & white and 1 red tri and white.

They will be 8 weeks of age on December 13th, and can leave on December 15th, with microchip and first vaccine.

These puppies will be rough or long coated. Though their dad is long coated. Mum is rough coated.. There is a photograph of me and of the meadows where the puppies will play and where you can begin training with your puppy during bonding visits. I have a previous son of theirs to show (his dad looks the same), so that people can get a good all round idea of how the puppies will look when adult.

The puppies will be well socialised to the sounds of farm machinery, tractors and a myriad of other farm sounds, plus a multitude of cats. I must say that their mum likes to chase cats, but their dad does not. Neither of the parents chase vehicles.

The puppies will also have been out into the meadows to play with my other collies, so they will be all round happy, good tempered puppies and new owners are welcome to return whenever they can to bond and interact with the puppies.

I am well experienced in the owning and breeding of Border Collies, there is not much that I do not know. I have owned them for 45 years. I also have a Facebook group for all owners of my puppies where they can interact, socialise and chat among themselves and with me, and I arrange reunions at a dog friendly beach near Skegness for all to come along with their dogs and have a fun few hours frolicking in the sand and the sea.

I try to do everything that is needed for every puppy that I sell. Both parents are eye tested clear. The puppies will be health checked by a vet, and be micro-chipped and registered with the dog lovers club who will provide a 3 generation certificate and a form to apply for 4 weeks free insurance, also the microchip transfer will also provide 4 weeks insurance, so I advise you take out one and then the other to get 8 weeks free insurance for your puppy. I will provide a 2 kilo bag of good holistic puppy food with each puppy sold and a signed KC Agility form for those that wish to train their dogs for agility competitions.

All puppies are weaned on Royal Canin Mother and Baby Dog Mousse and will be wormed at regular 2 week intervals and treated for fleas and additionally before leaving they will each have had one Stronghold pipque and one Drontal puppy wormer that will last them one month. I do not use cheap wormers for they can burn the lining of sensitive baby tummies. They will be fully vaccinated and micro-chipped.

Deposits are £150 per puppy and are non refundable. Visits to see the puppies are from November 17th. Please call to arrange a convenient time for yourself and for me.

Anything you need to know please call me. I keep in touch with my puppies for the duration of their lives through the FB group and I look forward to the beach reunions.

For people that can only come once to view, choose a puppy and leave a deposit and due to seasonal commitments or distance cannot return again then I offer a delivery option within a 200 mile radius of my home, for the cost of fuel only, and my car does 100 miles for £10 diesel so it would not be expensive. The only rule I have in this is that half the money for the puppy is sent by cheque or paid by BACs two weeks before delivery takes place. I also insist at such times that if people cannot visit their puppy after paying the deposit, then they take a flannel, or an old tee shirt void of slogans, cigarette smoke and perfumes, and each family member sleep with it a few nights, then post it to me. I will then give this to their chosen puppy at age 7 weeks which is the ideal bonding time and then they will remember and happily know their new owner when collected/delivered. No delivery service is available without a new owner making the initial visit to view and choose a puppy. I do not do internet sales, I like to meet the new owners of my puppies.

A Border Collie needs a country home, I will not sell to people living in flats or towns or on housing estates with no parkland or country walks nearby. They are high maintenance true, but mainly due to their intelligence, they require mental stimulation more than physical, and will make up their own mischief if not entertained well enough. They are fabulous family companions, and great sounding boards for problems, they use telepathy to tune into their owners thoughts and are wonderful for children to sit with an arm draped around the dog just talking, for they are fabulous listeners, and somehow seem to pop a solution into people's heads. I cannot recommend this breed enough for their loyalty, their intelligence, their love and compassion and the sheer fun that they have for life with people in general.

A contract with a 4 page information sheet is provided with each puppy.

One final thing, I will not under any circumstances sell a puppy to a family where anyone is pregnant. By experience I have found when the new baby arrives the new puppy gets pushed out and people cannot manage. To avoid my puppies being returned to me or resold, I make that stipulation. I would also prefer that children in the family are at least 3 years of age before bringing in a Border Collie puppy, for puppies will nip ankles, and young children will become frightened and may be put off of dogs for life, and the puppy be scolded unnecessary for something that is simply instinct and they cannot change that.

Thank you for reading.

Sincerely,

Wendy Tunnard.
