Berkshire sow, around 2 years old
Meet Rasputia, one in a million. After slaughtering pigs for a number of years I decided to keep rasputia, she is an exceptional pig, I have taught this pig not to dig and root which has gone quite well although sometimes she does have a misdemeanor.
As you can see in the photos I leave her to roam around the farm, she has the run of the place all morning to herself and then the horses are let out in the afternoon as she does not get on well with horses. She hates pig food and is more of a double decker girl but I have fed her on coarse mix for the last 2 years which she seems to like.
She has never been bred, she has got a slight defect in one of her eyes from where she was born her eyelid was slightly closed over but this has never bothered her and she is a very happy and friendly pig.
The reason for trying to re-home her is that we are relocating to another country and I can not take her with me although I definitely have tried.
Nobody thinking of slaughtering this pig need to try to contact me, this pig needs to go to a farm for breeding or to be kept as a pet as it is very very well trained and friendly.
Very reluctant situation, I would much rather take her but I am willing to let her go to the right place, I cant hence enough how well trained and friendly this pig is, but also bear in mind she is a pig and when she comes in season her mood can change, she can get a little bit more distant from people but never aggressive.
