Description:

Men At Work - Contraband: The Best Of 1996 Columbia

The following text is taken from the CD tray liner of this best of collection:-

Although known mostly for their seemingly out-of-nowhere success in late 1982, multi-platinum selling artists Men At Work deserve to be known for more than "Who Can It Be Now?" and the Australian anthem, "Down Under", both #1 hits from the album, 'Business As Usual'.

After winning a Grammy for best new artist in 1983, the Men spent the next four years touring and making great music.

Five songs made the Top 40, four of which made the Top 10, ranging in topic from love to alienation and impending nuclear war, from the wit of "Be Good Johnny" to the beauty of "Maria" to the sophisticated pop song-craft of "Still Life", this collection of bests endeavours to draw a more complete picture of what was, after all, one of the most successful bands of the early '80s.

Also, included on this collection is the track "I Like To (Live)". Previously unreleased on CD this song was originally only available on a single; "Dr. Heckyll & Mr. Jive".

Condition: Booklet is good [has a touch of warping] | Tray Liner is good to better than good | CD is better than excellent
