The Hawke Endurance ED 8 x 32 binocular won the Best Binocular Reviews (BBR) Award for Best Safari & Travel binocular 2016/2017. It was also Highly Recommended in Ireland's Wildlife by Calvin Jones and considered to compete with binoculars costing three times the price.

Try before you buy. Collection only. I want the buyer to be completely satisfied.

The optics/glass is in mint condition; clean, with no scratches and no dirt inside the barrels (see extensive photographs). The optics provides sharp and bright images with good colours and contrasts.

The rubber armour is in excellent condition. There are a few light black marks/stains on the rubber armour that originated from the black neck strap when it was folded around the hinge adjustment for storage, but these are minor and cosmetic to the function of the binocular. I purchased the binocular brand new less than three years ago and used it at work, but since I have retired I can no longer justify keeping it.

This binocular is currently selling new on dealers websites (including Amazon) at £179. On Hawke's optics website it is advertised at £199.

The Field of View (FOV) is 129 metres at 1000 metres and they can focus from 2 metres to infinity in around one and a quarter revolutions of the focus wheel, which is smooth and consistent. The Eye Relief is 18mm, so they are also easy for spectacle wearers to use (I can vouch for this as I am a spectacle user). The weight of the binocular is 539g or 19 oz. Height 132 mm, Width 99 - 119 mm depending on the angle of the hinge adjustment.

The binocular has many advanced features including Extra-low dispersion (ED) glass and multi-coated lenses to increase sharpness and improve colour rendition, together with phase corrected BAK4 prisms. And a rubber coated Magnesium alloy chassis for strength and lightness, normally only found in binoculars costing three to five times the price. They are also Nitrogen purged to make them waterproof and fog proof.

Included accessories: Rain guard, neck strap, semi-soft case with carry strap, lens cloth, instructions and original box. An RSPB imitation leather soft case for extra compactness is also included. THE HAWKE WARRANTY only applies to the original owner and is not transferable.
