Josie's Dragonfly Trust is a charity supporting young people with incurable cancer. Our focus is on providing quality time for the young patients to spend with their loved ones to create lasting memories. Families' focus at a time such as this should be spending time together, nothing else. We help to remove any stresses for them.
A Dream Maker volunteer at Josie's Dragonfly Trust are the people responsible for making Dragonfly Dreams come true for children and young people who have limited time left because of incurable cancer. This would mean, though, that wishes would need to be granted in as little time as possible. The role may often involve researching different dreams and making enquiries.
As time is such an important factor it is essential that a Dream Maker is hard working and motivated to complete tasks. This role is primarily research based. A Dream Maker needs to carry out research into any aspect of a Dream and make enquiries. Enquiries may need to be made over the phone, email or in person.
Comprehensive and detailed notes are very important in this role. These can be used in your communication with the team, but also to keep a record of Dreams that are granted by the charity, so that the charity has a full archive.
Be aware of places and deals available that might be popular for future Dreams to help save time in the future.
