We need Clockhouse Minibus Helper/Assistants - part-time - voluntary
For the Clockhouse Community Centre, Milford Mini-Bus - Hours are:
Tuesday - Friday 8.45am to 10:15am and 3pm to 5pm
Depending on your time available to volunteer these hours can be a role-share with another volunteer or volunteers. Any help you can give on any days will be appreciated.
This would be an opportunity for anyone age 18 or over to work directly with older people and this is a sociable role meeting older people in the surrounding villages around Godalming, Milford, Chiddingfold, Witley, Elstead, Wormley bringing them from and back to their homes, to/from the Clockhouse Community Centre, Chapel Lane Milford.
You will be friendly and enjoy meeting people and you will travel in local areas on the minibus with the Driver. You will be monitoring the passengers letting the driver know of any issues.
Would suit anyone wishing to support older people access Community Services, including job seekers, people who work part-time, retired/retiree's, or anyone with work experience or wanting to gain work experience (social care or related experience) and that can spare time to volunteer for a morning and / or afternoon on any day from Tuesday to Friday, when our minibus is running.
You do not need a driving licence, just the mobility to get on and off the mini-bus at the many stops and help people get on board and off safely. You will have an opportunity to interact with the Community Centre Teams of Staff, Volunteers and Activities at the Community Centre; local travel expenses will be paid; discounted use of the Caf.
