P.S. In 1998, the Bank of Russia carried out a monetary reform. New banknotes of the 1997 model were issued. The denomination was 1:1000 (three zeros were removed from banknotes). During the circulation process, banknotes were modified in 2001 and 2004. Banknotes of the first issue and the second (1997 and 2001) of the Central Bank of Russia were withdrawn from circulation, so they are now practically not found in circulation. This also applies to other denominations from 10 to 1000 rubles. (1000r was not released in the first issue). Read more
