Description:

They include boxes marked\embossed with:

* Bryant & May's London Royal Wax Vestas - the Long tin (which includes some original wax vestas) circa 1870
* Bryant & May Limited - small case in the shape of a book circa 1885 (the company went public in 1884)
* R.Bell & Co, 21 Cannon St West, London - the copper coloured box circa 1832-1860 (the 1861 census shows a Licensed Victualler and his family residing at 21 Cannon Street, so belief is the "factory" had been turned into a pub the "Cock & Bottle" by 1861)
* Bell Black Trade Mark - tin "pill box" style case with striker underneath, nothing further is known about this and
* Unknown make, with a portrait on it and what looks like "W Gladstone" written underneath - believed to be Sir William Gladstone and estimated to be pre-1898

Condition varies, as you can see from the pictures, but some are believed to be over 150 years old and weren't made to be kept. To then actually find one with the original wax vestas in, is a real opportunity for any serious collector. These will not be available again! I can ship at the buyers expense (should be under 1Kg).
